Pick the KVT, Kubota's continuously variable transmission, if you want stepless speed control for loader work, PTO jobs and changing conditions. Pick the Semi-Powershift for a gear-based drive that suits steady field work and operators who like set gears. We sell the M7 with either, as the Deluxe Powershift (D-PS) or the Premium KVT (P-KVT).
The M7 Models We Sell
The M7-4 comes in three models, each as a D-PS or a P-KVT:

How the KVT Drives
The KVT has no fixed gear steps: you set the speed the job needs, and the KVT's sensitivity and cruise control are set from the cab's monitor. That suits:
- Loader work with lots of direction changes
- PTO jobs where you want ground speed and engine speed independent, like baling
- Operators who want the tractor to do the shifting
How the Semi-Powershift Drives
The Semi-Powershift has a six-speed powershift in each of five synchronized ranges: 30 forward and 15 reverse speeds, or 54 forward and 27 reverse with the optional creep speeds. That suits:
- Long, steady field passes at a set gear
- Operators who prefer to choose the gear
Features Worth Knowing
On the Premium KVT, the parking brake engages on its own when you leave the seat with the engine running, or when you turn the engine off, and automatic climate control is standard. On the M7-4, Xpress Restart lets you stop the tractor with the brake pedals alone, without the clutch pedal, and Multi-Speed Steering Control (MSSC) sets how responsive the steering is per turn of the wheel. The loader joystick carries the shuttle and range-shift buttons, so you don't change your grip between joystick, wheel and shift lever.
Which One?
If the tractor lives on a loader and a baler, the KVT's stepless speed control suits it. If it spends its days pulling steadily in the field, the Semi-Powershift's set gears do the job.
