    Kubota KX080-5 Compact Excavator

Available through Grande Prairie Kubota in Sexsmith, the KX080-5 is the top-tier compact excavator in Kubota's lineup—built for contractors who demand serious performance. With substantial bucket force for heavy ground work and the stability to handle breakers or grading buckets without compromise, this 8-ton machine excels at site development, deep utility work, and clearing operations. The KX080-5 combines capability with operator comfort. An upgraded cab, LED lighting, 7" LCD monitor with jog dial, keyless start, and backup camera make extended work days more manageable. Superior control features give you the precision needed for detailed work. This is a machine for active, consistent use. If you're regularly transporting equipment, account for the size difference versus the KX057-5 —it's a bigger haul, but justified when you're working it hard. From Kubota, the world's top seller of mini excavators, the KX080-5 delivers the dig depth and stability serious contractors expect.

  • Kubota KX057-5 Compact Excavator

    New

    Kubota KX057-5 Compact Excavator

Available through Grande Prairie Kubota in Sexsmith. The KX057-5 is the middle of the KX range and the one we sell most of, because it lands where a lot of Peace Country work actually sits — deep enough for utility and septic work, strong enough for site prep and clearing, and still on a trailer most contractors already own. It's the machine to buy if you're doing this for a living rather than occasionally. More reach and dig depth than the KX040-5 without stepping up to the haul weight and permitting of the KX080-5 . Thumbs, augers, breakers and grading buckets all available, and we'll spec it with what you'll actually use.

  • Kubota KX040-5 Compact Excavator

    New

    Kubota KX040-5 Compact Excavator

Available through Grande Prairie Kubota in Sexsmith. The KX040-5 is the entry point into the conventional tail swing machines, and it's the size that suits most acreage and small contractor work — septic, waterlines, footings, landscaping, clearing brush. Big enough to dig a real trench, small enough that hauling it isn't a project in itself, which is usually what decides it. Conventional tail swing means more counterweight behind the machine and better lift and stability than a comparable zero-swing model, so if you're working open ground rather than tight against a house, this is the better buy. If clearance is your constraint, look at the U Series instead. If you're hitting the limits on depth or reach, the KX057-5 is the next step.

Digging season is short up here and the ground doesn't stay soft long, so having the right machine on hand when conditions open up matters more than it does further south.

U Series — Zero and near-zero tail swing. The house is close, the fence is closer, and you need to work in a tight yard without swinging into something. First choice for acreage work, landscaping, septic and utility work in town.

KX Series — Conventional tail swing. More counterweight behind the machine means better lift and stability, which is what you want on open ground, trenching runs and lease site work where clearance isn't the constraint.

Thumbs, augers, breakers, grading buckets and quick couplers are all available, and we can spec a machine with the attachments you'll actually use rather than a standard package. We stock filters, undercarriage parts and service items, and we do maintenance and warranty work in our shop or on the road.

Serving contractors, farms and acreage owners across the Peace Country, including Grande Prairie, Sexsmith, Clairmont, Beaverlodge, Spirit River and Fairview.
